Hey! My name is Simon Ekstrand, and I run this web shop. I live in Söderåkra, a couple of miles outside Kalmar, together with my partner Åsa and our two sons born -17 and -19. We have for a couple of years renovated our house, and still do, but now at a slightly slower pace… My interest in ponds has always been there and I think it is very calming with koi and ponds. I build a lot of filters etc on my own, like to come up with new solutions to things and learn new things all the time.

I am an electrician and have my own electricity company. Nemo Electro. (www.nemoelectro.se). I do that during the day. And we run the Koi store as a hobby on the side, the company therefore has low overheads, which gives the opportunity to be able to keep good prices on the products. The web shop is growing at a furious pace year by year, which we think is very fun, and now in the future Åsa will also have a bigger role in the company and help with logistics and orders.

The dream of opening up our greenhouse of 4500 m2 is bigger than ever. We call that project Koi Garden and will be together with Koibutiken.se. You can follow it on koigarden.nu.
We are constantly looking for new and good products around the world and buy homes on trial. Orders from wholesalers are made on an ongoing basis.
