AlfaGrog is an porous ceramic material: strong, tear resistant and relatively light. AlfaGrog is PH neutral and doesnt react with other chemicals. it has a huge surface area for the growth of micro organisms when you compare it to other materials.

AlfaGrog is available in 2 variants

• E25: 90.000 m2/m3
• E40: 45.000 m2/m3

In comparison: filterfoam has an surface area of circa 3.000 to 6.000m2/m3. that is the reason why the price of AlfaGrog per m2 (available surface area) is so cheap because less material is needed for the same ammount of efficientie. because of this there is extra bio filter capacity with less room. AlfaGrog is very suitable for drum- and multi chamber filters.
